Hana Legacy Foundation
About
The Hana Legacy Foundation was established as a tribute to love, loss, and the power of remembering. Hana's journey was one of enduring love and sacrifice, but like many in Black and immigrant communities, she faced mental health challenges in silence. Stigma, lack of support, and cultural barriers often make it harder for people to seek the help they need. Her passing left a void that could never be filled, but from that pain came a purpose: to ensure that others don’t have to suffer alone.
The foundation exists to spark conversations, break down barriers, and create spaces where mental health is embraced with compassion, not shame. While in the early stages of this journey, the commitment is steadfast—to honour Hana’s life by advocating for those still here, to bring awareness where silence once stood, and to make healing something everyone has the right to pursue.
Mission
Inspired by Hana’s legacy, the foundation is dedicated to providing accessible mental health care and holistic support to those in need. Through advocacy, meaningful education, and community-driven initiatives, it strives to create a safe space where individuals can reclaim their story with dignity and strength, honouring the journey of healing and growth.
Vision
A vision where mental wellness is embraced with compassion, support, and understanding, free from stigma, where everyone has the strength and resources to heal and thrive.
